You can choose which folders appear on the Start menu left rail for quicker access to Documents, Downloads, Network, etc

On Windows 10, the Start menu has been redesigned and features a section with Live Tiles, a list of all your apps, and a left rail that includes by default the power options, quick access to the Settings app, and user profile menu.

You can add and remove these items (folders) which appear on the Start menu. For example, you can add a quick access to different folders, including Documents, Downloads, File Explorer, Pictures etc.

Selecting the folders which appear on your Start menu:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Click on Personalization.
  3. Click on Start.

  1. Toggle the switch to add or remove quick access to different system folders Windows 10 Start menu settings, including: File Explorer, Settings, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures, Videos, Home Group, Network, and Personal folder.

























  1. Once you have completed these steps, open the Start menu to see the folders in the left rail. You can also click the menu button in the top-left to see their names.
